Even though I booked the Premium Ocean Wing, I was told I had a garden view.
I don't know if the wording here is wrong, or if Shangri-La Hotel wants to improve the room grade, but I was upgraded to the Club Floor for 8,000 pesos x 2 nights.
The view was awful, and even though they said I could see the ocean, I only got a glimpse.
I will never come to Shangri-La Cebu again.

Came here to celebrate our anniversary. We took our 7 month old with us. My wife wanted to be proactive to see if they had a cot and bottle sterilizer on premise. However the reservation agents we were speaking with online would not confirm one for us. All they kept saying was that it’s based on availability upon arrival. Well after several back and forth emails, they finally agreed to let us reserve one. To me that defeats the purpose of reserving one. They made a simple request(yes or no) a very long drawn out process. Anyways, I messaged the manger on duty when we finally checked in and she was way more accommodating and even gave us a little toy for our daughter. Point is, we went for a family vacation, and a simple request turned into a slight aggregation for us.
The property in of itself was nice. Their breakfast buffet was from 6am to 10am. It was well with food. I liked the variety. For their gym, I wish they had better signage on where it’s at. The restaurants were easy to find and they were pretty good. Cowrie Cove is a bit overpriced for me. The other Resturant’s, Buko Bar and Tides have buffet options that’s way more reasonable than cowrie grill. If we go back, we will eat at those places instead. Overall place is 8/10 for me. Good service, they speak English, and it’s clean. Everything is there too and it’s a short trip to the airport. Pro tip, take grab from the airport versus using their shuttle service. Their shuttle service is 4x-5x the price of grab.

This is my third visit to Shangri-La. I think I come here once every 10 years. When I came here 10 years ago, the building was being remodeled, but it has been completely renovated and has become larger and has more pools. I was thinking of going to the modern Sheraton, but I came to Shangri-La. As expected, you can't ignore old traditions. And if you have children older than elementary school, you should definitely go to Shangri-La. You can snorkel right on the beach, so you don't have to spend money on a hopping tour. Unless you're going on a southern tour.
Even though it's old, it's not dirty at all and it was great.
I also recommend the dinner buffet at Tide with a 25% discount coupon.
Grab is really well-run, so it's not scary to walk around and it's comfortable.

Superb service from Claire! Our stay was smooth from check in till check out. There were plenty of activities for both children and adults. Buffet spread and food options were aplenty and service staff were all very helpful. We will definitely be back!

It's a traditional hotel. It takes a long time to get from Mactan Island to Cebu Island, so I thought it would be nice to do all my activities within this hotel.
The rooms are clean, but they do feel a bit old.
